1. How wide are the Marcos plates?

25mm wide allowing you to straighten, curl, wave & twist your hair - having you look and feeling styled.

2. What hair types can use the Marcos Professional Hair Straightener?

The Marcos straightener can be used on any hair type. We do recommend the use of a heat protectant as this assists in maintaining the health & vitality of your hair.

3. What heat setting should I use for my hair type?

The Marcos straightener has an adjustable heat setting control, so that you are able to see exactly what temperature you are using & customise it for your hair type. Please refer to your hair type for the appropriate heat setting below.

Always take extra care to avoid contact with any skin areas especially around the face, neck and ears.

• Fragile – up to 120 °c
• Thin – up to 140 °c
• Normal – up to 170 °c
• Thick – up to 190 °c
• Course – up to 210 °c

Note: For damaged, fragile or bleached hair the lowest setting is advised.

4. Why do you only have one straightener?

We designed a product that we strongly believe is the best on the market. Our continued vision is to evolve as new technology does. Our team are also working on some other products which will continue to prove that Marcos has the hottest & most cutting edge products available.

5. How long is my straightener under warranty for?

All Marcos straighteners are covered by a 2 year limited warranty. The bonus adaptor is covered by a 1 year warranty. Please read our warranty page for more information.

6. How do I claim my warranty?

In the seldom event of your straightener being faulty, warranty claims must be made at the place of purchase with the original receipt. For purchases made online via this official Marcos website please fill out our warranty claim form.

7. How do I use my Marcos straightener in other countries other than mine?

Marcos hair straightener automatically detects the local supply voltage and adjusts itself accordingly. 110v and 230v, 60/50 Hz (AC only). (AU, US, UK, EU).
Each Marcos straightener comes with a BONUS international travel adaptor so that no matter which country you are in or what plug you are using you will have the appropriate plug for that country. Before travelling, we recommend you check the voltage available in your destination. View the full list of the countries the travel adapter may be used here.

8. How do I maintain my straightener?

Use a clean, slightly damp cloth to clean the outside handle area. Ensure the straightener has fully cooled down & has been switched off at the power point.

Please take extra care when cleaning the plates & use your polishing cloth (included with each Marcos hair straightener) to maintain the ultra high gloss finish, only after the straightener has been switched off at the power source and has completely cooled down.

9. Do you send out replacement parts for my straightener?

We do not supply replacement parts externally and do not recommend any repairs be attempted by the consumer.

10. Do I have to pay the postage to return my straightener?

The cost to return the straightener to Marcos for repairs is made by the customer. It is recommended that when returning your item, that you use a registered and insured delivery service. This will ensure you are able to keep track of your package at all times.
